IT’S SUMMERTIME!

Summertime is always different from the school year. There’s lots of fun activities to participate in: celebrations, get-togethers, opportunities to see family and friends that we might not otherwise.

In response to this, Midland UMC has reorganized our summer worship schedule. During the Wednesday evening worship service, we have been averaging about 50 people at worship with about a dozen kids in Midweek VBS! It’s been a great addition to the worship schedule! Thank you to the many groups and families who have volunteered to provide a meal for one of the Wednesday night family dinners. The fellowship that has been a part of this has also been very fun!

Will the Wednesday evening worship continue into the fall? This is up for evaluation. If you have an opinion about this, please share it with anyone on 2007 & Beyond, which includes:

I’d also like to thank you for warmly receiving Coach Bret Bielema at Midland UMC. While the time in advertising and promoting Bret’s presentation was rather short, those who were able to attend became acquainted with a very normal Midwestern farm boy who now is coaching a Big 10 football program. It was a fun evening at Midland UMC!

I took the last week of June to pray, plan and vision for Midland UMC. Thank you for providing this time for me to get away and be with God and look into the future of Midland UMC.
